Join GTG Outdoors for a hands-on overnight master class that teaches the skills and confidence to plan, set up, and enjoy your own camping adventures. Whether you’re brand new to camping or looking to level up your outdoor know-how, this weekend experience will prepare you to thrive outside.
Set in the scenic Mother Neff State Park, one of Texas’s oldest and most beloved state parks, you’ll spend two days learning core camping skills from expert guides while surrounded by nature. You’ll pitch your own tent, cook over a campfire, practice navigation, and learn how to explore the outdoors safely and sustainably.
All instruction, materials, and meals (Friday dinner through Saturday dinner) are included.

Over the course of two days, participants will gain experience in:
Campsite Setup & Gear Selection: How to choose your site, set up tents, and organize for comfort and safety
Fire Building & Campfire Cooking: Techniques for safe fire prep, ignition, and delicious meals outdoors
Leave No Trace Principles: Protecting parks and minimizing your impact
Navigation & Orientation: Reading maps, using a compass, and navigating Texas terrain
Outdoor Safety & First Aid: Understanding weather, wildlife, and emergency preparedness
Trip Planning & Outdoor Leadership: Packing smart, leading group trips, and building confidence outdoors
